This isn't a post I planned on writing, nor is it one I wished I was writing... Recently a friend of mine passed from a long struggle with cancer, when I heard the news I hit the floor, crying. I was in tears knowing such a beautiful life was taken from us too soon with such a bright future ahead of him. It's selfish, but I was upset knowing that I hadn't seen him in the months leading to this event. I kept thinking, I'll do it tomorrow, I'll call him later. But sometimes that later, that tomorrow never comes. I know this isn't the usual happy go lucky blog post you're used to from us but I wanted to share with you a regret that I'll hold close to me forever. Knowing that I didn't go and see him, thinking we had more time but now I'll never be able to see him ever again. I'm not writing this post to make you sad, not at all! I'm writing this post because we really do only have a short amount of time on this earth and it's a shame not to test the boundaries - see how far you can go. "One day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember". It's a cliché but this life really is too short not to do what you want and do unapologetically. If you love someone, let them know, you may never get the chance to. Tell you parents every night that you love them, treasure every moment spent with the people you care about, and that care about you. Don't dwell on the past, it's not worth it. Don't allow yourself to be surrounded by negative people, you deserve better!
Be happy, live free but most of all love unconditionally.
Love P xx
"Grief never ends..
But it changes.
It's a passage,
not a place to stay.
Grief is not a sign of
weakness, nor a lack of faith.
It is the price of Love."
